Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to have courage to do what is right and wisdom to know how to do it. Amen.

Day 2

“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her” (Mt. 1:20).

Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to grow in prudence and carefully discern your will. Amen.

Day 3

Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to embrace God’s call to holiness and be ever-ready to do his will. Amen.

Day 4

“So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger” (Lk. 2:16).

Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to make more time for being in Christ’s presence, especially the Eucharist. Amen.

Day 5

“Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt” (Mt 2:14).

Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to widen our hearts and learn better to put the needs of others ahead of our own. Amen.

Day 6

“[Joseph] rose, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel” (Mt. 2:21).

Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to give more of ourselves to those in our families. Amen.

Day 7

“Not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions” (Lk. 2:46).

Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to be attuned to finding Christ in the people and circumstances of our daily lives. Amen.
Day 8
“[Jesus] went down with [Joseph and Mary] and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them … and Jesus advanced [in] wisdom and age and favor before God and man” (Lk. 2:51-52).
Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to make our homes a place in which God’s wisdom can be loved and pursued. Amen.
Day 9
“Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph? Do we not know his father and mother? Then how can he say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” (Jn. 6:42).
Let us pray: O St. Joseph help us, by your example and prayers, to understand the importance of pursuing holiness in ordinary, daily circumstances. Amen.
To conclude each day:
Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted.
Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection.
Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.
